Welcome to Eat This Bread Drink This Cup

The communion meditation today is based on a passage of Scripture from the New Testament, 1 Corinthians 10:14-22. In this passage of Scripture, the Apostle Paul warns Christians not to eat the sacrifices served in the pagan temples in Corinth as they are literally participating with demons at their table. Rather, Christians should assemble to eat the emblems representing the sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the Lord's Table, the cup of thanksgiving that represents His blood, and the bread that represents His body. Focusing on what Jesus has done for us at His table helps us to remain focused on Jesus and ignoring the idols of this world. All Scripture quotations are from the New International Version (NIV) and are used with permission.

As you listen to the episode today, my hope is that you will be encouraged from the time spent meditating on what Jesus has done for you. You are a special person; the one Jesus died to save!
